In Stitches...

Thirteen stitches later, the neck skin cancer is all gone.

Ouch...

Ho Birds...

For the first time in months (ie before winter), there are birds flying around Da House. I wonder what that means?
Calicat is ecstatic and shedding...

The Latest Ho Down...

Today, Lanny is going to have another basel cell skin cancer removed from behind his ear. These are no big deal and are just a result of growing up in the desert with lots of sun. This will be the fourth one he has had done over the years.

The office is finally almost done - with systems in place to handle all the stuff that usually messes it up in a short time - mail, papers to file, stuff to keep, etc. We still have to 'decorate' the shelves, but that will happen in time...

Lanny's next big task is to do all the back taxes. The last couple of years, with all the medical 'fun' and low incomes, it shouldn't be a big deal, but just needs to be done. O'boy, O'boy...

A few days ago, Lanny got a complete used set of Calphalon cookware - that they sell at Costco for about $200 - for $30 at the local Costco distressed goods store. All three sauce pans are stripped of their surface, but all the rest looks new. God only knows what could have done that to the sauce pans, but they will be good garage fodder holders...

This Saturday is the 6th anniversery of Pam's dads passing. Her mother, brother and sister and families are all coming here for a trip to the grave and aftwards a memorial dinner back at the house.

Pam's work is going well. Dell is changing a lot of the ways they do support that is keeping them on their toes and sometimes last nerves, but she is doing very well at it all.

We are planning a trip to SoCal from 3/24 - 3/28 to see Alana and Josephine - the new Keithley family girls - and all the clan...

Bureaucratic Morass - good and bad...

The good news...
We have been 'fighting' with the California DMV to get a duplicate title on the van since October 2004. After multiple screwups and amazing bureaucratic crap, it finally came in the mail!!

The bad news...
And then there is the Days Inn... We have been trying to get a refund from the Days Inn for being overcharged for wedding guests last year. We finally wrote to the corporate offices since the local manager will never return calls or get it resolved.

More News...
There is suppose to be a rain/snow storm on the way this weekend. We need the moisture, however it appears.

Pam's daughters and their partners have made plans to come here in April. Jade and Tom from England and Jaz and Brad from the Bay Area. Should be great fun for all...

Happy Birthday to Steve!!

Lanny's Cell Phone...

If anybody has tried to call Lanny on his new cell phone, it didn't work but now it does... It took them a couple of days to transfer the land line number over to the cell line. Again, that number is 208-324-0049...

Remote Control Ho

We got this new gismo that is solving all of the remote control 'issues' we have had. With most of the components in the cabinet and the PC on top and the plasma TV up on the wall, THE remote control just wasn't working very well.

Anyway, this new gismo - a true 'black box'with one input sensor and 12 little output connectors that attach to each component and PC and TV, etc.- sends all the remote control signals to all the devices and works from almost anywhere in the room. Very Cool...

Did you notice I said "THE remote control"? Micheal got us this Harmony 680 remote that works with the Media Center PC and it has solved all of our remote control problems - as long as the devices could see it... I have been trying to get to a single remote - usable by everybody - for years and finally it is done! Ho!Ho!

They had a big deal on the news last night. Some guy tried to rob an outside ATM with a backhoe. Really tore it up, but broke the backhoe before he got to the money…

Happy Valentine's Day in DaHo...

Pam and I got ourselves new camera cell phones for V-day. Now that I can actually 'speak' over the phone, it is good to have communications available when I am out and about... Now, I could send fish pics from the lake... They also have GPS location, so someone could find me if I couldn't talk for some reason...

Pam's new cell # is 208-320-0503 and mine is 208-324-0049(just add 1 to the house #)...

So, we went to Jakers Resturant last night for Valenine Day dinner and to celebrate Pam's award wining box. They had a special V-day buffet with Prime Rib, Lobster, Scallops, Shrimp, Alfredo, Samon, etc. Good Stuff! Jakers is the best resturant we have found in DaHo - by far.

I brought back some scallops for Calicat, so a good time was had by all...

Happy Valentines Day to all of you BLOG readers out there. You are there arn't you? We never get any comments.........

Grandma Flora Modeling at the Buhl Fashion Show Posted by Hello

Lanny went down to take some fashion photos at the Buhl seniors fashion show. Grandma Flora was one of the 'Super Models' there...

Another Limit In DaHo!

Another Limit in Da Ho Posted by Hello

Lanny went down to Cristal Springs Lake and got these yesterday. He caught about 30 or so, but released the others back. These were the terminal ones...We gave them to a Dell employee. You can only have soooo much trout in the freezer...

Hard Day at the Orifice...

So, for the past couple of days, Lanny has been cleaning up and organizing the orifice, er office. There were stacks and stacks of 'correspondence' that had accumulated and lots of half done projects and toys that needed to be completed.

He went down and got some new cabinets with lots of drawers and has finally got most of the morass organized. Next, is transforming it into a attractive and functional workspace.

The 'desk' is built into a closet and there are shelves going up both sides that need to be transformed into 'airy presentations of beauty...' or something other than organized stacks of boxes and hardware stuff. I guess this dilemma is why it wasn't completed long ago...

Anyway, it is getting done and it will be usable for all...

Weakend Entertainment

Last weekend we veged and watched some movies on Saturday. One very good one and one reallllly bad one. The good one was the Buorne Supremacy. It really worked the Bose speakers and the Plasma out... But, then there was the other one I recorded off of DirectTV - The League of Extrodinary Gentlemen... I think that was the worst movie I have ever seen. After it was over we just sat looking at each other in stunned disbelief...

Then on Sunday, Pam's mom came over to bring me my goodies - Cowboy cookies (which I have become addicted to) and a chocolate pie. Good Stuff... In return, we fixed her an awesome Prime Rib Dinner on the new Wolf Range - which, by the way, works great.

We then watched the Stuperbowl which was not a bad game for a change... Pam's mom had to leave at half time so she could get back to her house and let out the 'Damn Dog' as we lovingly call it, so it won't destroy something in her house.

The 'Damn Dog' got the rib bones so a good time was had by all...

We have been waiting for celluar shades we ordered in December to show up, which they finally did. Unfortunately, they were suppose to be cordless and they wern't. The vendor said that she screwed up and it would be an additional $ 500 for cordless ones... We don't think so... So, we are getting our deposit back and starting over again... Grrrrr.

We got Jade's Birth Certificate FexExed to her in England today so she can get her passport renewed.

Lanny was going to go fishing today, but nobody wanted any awsome large fresh trout, so he went to practice pool at the local pool hall - The Pocket... Their special was 5 Buds for $8...

Da Ho is dead, Long live Da Ho

Well the old BLOG is dead. I guess all the traffic from "Da Ho" stressed it out too much. The host has been down for a week or so now. Anyway, we now have a new Da Ho BLOG and this is it...

Just to bring everybody up to date, everything is about the same. We did get the new Wolf stove installed and it is working great. The new $600 vent hood we got for it really sucks, or actually doesn't suck very well...

Fishing is still great and so is the weather. Lots of sun and no snow.

Ryan, in Maui, was in the hospital for a few days but is now out and all is good.

Pam's work at Dell is going well.

The new owner at the old Moss Beach house is putting in a new fireplace - big remodeling fun...

Calicat is doing well. There are cows in the field by the house and she is pretty amazed by them. She has never seen any animals that large before. Must be sorta like Jurassic Park to her.

We sent in for a new title for Pam's van from the Calif DMV last October. Since then, we have had a bunch of letters/papers back and forth and many calls - and still no title. The van is now newly registered in Calif though which we never wanted or can use... Completely out of control - A true case of the blind leading the deaf...

Well, thats it for today...
