Gerrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

I went to my 4th pool tournament Wednesday. The really good guys were back from the Nationals. Somehow, I ended up playing two of the them... Also, my handicap went up since I placed in the money last week. These guys are very good... This all resulted in good and bad news.

The good news is that I could have, and should have, beaten them. Pool is Pool. I was impressed with the best guy there and his banking abilities. He had a very bad rack and ended up having to bank 5 balls in a row - some quite tricky. That inspired me to practice my banking all of this week. Something I now know needs work.

The bad news is that I got beaten 'Like a Rented Mule' because I lost my confidence and choked - something I should be use to at this point... I wasn't feeling well and basically let myself use that as an excuse to fold. You will never excel if you allow yourself excuses to fail and not be your best. The lesson for this week here in DaHo...
