And the Magic Number was... ... 20...

After spending LOTS of money, and hours and hours foraging and in setup, and cooking with two BBQs and a rotisserie for 6 hours in 100+ degree heat, and, and... we had twenty guests...

Not that I'm TOO frustrated by the low turnout - there were negative 'circumstances' on all sides. Some person at Dell decided to have a wedding, and some person at The Pocket (my pool hall) decided to have another party, and the last Trailer Race of Destruction was happening at the Speedway - ALL on the same night we had our Anniversary Party! What bad luck!

It was a great party setup for 60 guests with great food and a bartender and great bar and all would have had plenty of everything...

The good news is that most of the people that did come were neighbors and we had a great time meeting and chatting with them all. Those new 'friends' will probably end up being worth the whole thing in the future. Lots of very nice folks we never really met before.

Everybody loved the house and decorations and all the food and drink. Most of them had to take extra food home with them so they will enjoy it for a while.

Pam and I spent all day Sunday cleaning up and putting away all the decorations and party supplies. We will have beverages and supplies for the forseeable future. The next challenge is to find places to put all the new tables and decorations and supplies in the garage...

All those who did make it to the party were duly impressed with the whole thing and a great time was had by all. I don't think there will be an issue of people not being sure to attend the next one, if there is another one, after word spreads about it here in DaHo...
