Jackpot Concert and Party Preparation...
Sunday, we went to Jackpot NV. to see the LeAnn Rimes concert that Oliver won us tickets for at the Speedway. It was outdoors and HOT. It was way too HOT before it started. Then, about the time it started, it clouded up and cooled down. And, then in the middle, it rained a little which was great. She was great. Her last two songs were Summertime and Bobby McGee, both Janis Joplin tunes. They were awesome. She should do a lot more Rock and less Country, IMHO.
While there, we stopped by the stateline liquor store to get booze for the upcoming "Here Today but Gone To Maui" anniversary party on here on 8/27, saving lots of $$ from liquor prices here in DaHo. We also ordered lots of cute internet stuff for the party. It should be big fun...
We finally got the Jeep into the shop to get fixed from Pam's rear end accident a couple of weeks ago. We have a Chrysler Pacifica rental and its nice. If it had about 50-100 more horses, it would be a keeper.
The DVD drive in the Media Center PC gagged and had to be replaced. We got a new HP Lightscribe DVD writer that makes its own labels on Lightscribe disks. I had to use the Dremel tool on it to get it to open and close in the little Mega PC chassis, but seems to work great now.
All else is getting done and kept up around the house with the party looming in a couple of weeks here in DaHo...
