Life Without the Van...

Is GOOD, no GREAT!

Pam loves the new Lincoln LS. I see why each time I am in it. Its in the same class and feel as my old Infiniti Q45. It could use another 50 HP or so, but what couldn't... Its got a 252 HP DOHC V8 in it that runs very well and also gets good gas mileage - which is a very good thing these days.

I am also loving having the Jeep back as my own. I have it all cleaned up and stocked and its all ready to go fishing when I get some time. Lately, it seems that I am always doing or waiting for something that hangs up the day.

Today, I am waiting on FedEx, so I am doing stuff around the house and on the net. I got Pam's jewelry box all glued - it developed 'issues' from the move here. I also had to do some tinkering with the fly fishing equipment. It seems that the new reel cannot use as much backing material, so I had to remove some of it. To resolve this problem I got another spool and used the 'extra' backing on it with some new fly line. So, now we can deal with a variety of conditions as needed.

We continue to get ready for the upcoming party on 8/27. Some of the stuff we got over the net is starting to show up - thatched umbrellas, tiki torches, nets, etc., etc. Its going to be a good one and one they will talk about for some time here in DaHo...
