Kalifornia Trip...
Early Friday morning, about 4:30am, we left for our first return trip to the San Francisco Bay Area. It took us about 10 hours to get there. While driving through Sacramento, we stopped for our first Fry's Electronics fix. Then, we were off to make a quick stop at Longs Drugs, where I use to work. We visited with all the old friends and then we were off to the hotel and a much needed rest. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency at the SF Airport. Ryan hooked us up with a great room at a even better price - see pic below...

Then, after a very brief rest, we were off to have a great dinner and and visit with Steve and Cassandra in SF.
On Saturday, we spent the day with all four of Pam's kids and their families. This was the first time they had all been together for a couple of years. Jaz graduated from Menlo College, with a BA in Management, in the afternoon. It was quite an event and very hot. Everybody got sunburned as you can probably see in the picture below.

Then, we all had dinner at BeniHana's by the hotel. Lots of food and fun was had by all. After dinner, we all went up to the hotel suite and visited until late.
On Sunday, we hooked up with family again and drove over to The Coastside, where Pam and I had lived for years before coming to DaHo. The traffic wasn't too bad considering the road situation mentioned in an earlier post. We checked out our most favorite discount store, Twice-as-Nice-at-Twice-the-Price, which was the same as we last left it over two years ago. We got a great camera and bunches of food stuffs. We also checked out the houses where we use to live and the local bar where we played pool for years.
After we returned from the beach, we returned to the hotel for a little while and then met everybody at the Olive Garden for a 'Last Supper' and visits.
On Monday morning, we got up and started driving home about 5am and ended up getting back here home about 4pm. Calicat was really glad to see us and then seemed mad that we left her again - like she always does. The overall trip was 1,570 miles and we averaged 25.5 MPG in the LS. It was a great ride as usual.
Pam is feeling much better, but I am still recovering from my cold/flu or whatever I have had since last week. It was a jam packed short trip, but we got a lot done and had a lot of fun. But, we are glad to be back to DaHo...
