Good News and Bad News...

The good news is that they are finally done with the garage. Well, there are a couple of little things left to do, but all in all, we now again have a working/functional garage - Finally... Pam's car is back inside and she doesn't have to scrape ice off of the windshield every morning to leave for work.

Also, I ended up getting seven of the 6' high shelving units, that can be configured in a variety of ways, and with all the new shelves, some now extending to 9 feet tall, I have reorganized all the garage stuff. So, now the only stuff that is on the floor is what lives there and every thing else is stored and organized.

The article I wrote about "The Thought Police", posted below, was well received and is going to be published in the world wide newsletter, so my 'work' is being published for the first time...

Pam's youngest daughter got married in England this week. Pam watched part of it on a Web Cast, or whatever they call them. We wish them both good luck and a great future together...

That is about all of the good news - Now for the bad news...

In my Wednesday night pool league, I haven't been on the top players list and I was checking on it. I found out that the reason was that the score sheets and weekly playing money hasn't been being turned in by our team captain and therefore not scored. This is really a bummer. I don't know him very well, but really like him and I guess this has happened before and word is that they are going to kick him out of the league this weekend. His boss also plays on the team and fired him last week for not showing up to work. I don't know what his problems are, but its a real bummer all the way around...

Now, for the really bad news. I mentioned last week that Pam's mother was having some tests done to check for lung cancer. Well, they came back positive. Yesterday, she had a PET scan, which will help determine how bad it is. They have already said it was inoperable, but if it is not too bad, they can do radiation therapy on it. So, all the details are still up in the air, but this is bad news - we just don't know how bad yet...
