Trippin with Oliver...

Tuesday, Oliver and I went down to DaHole, my favorite fishing hole in Bliss, and didn't catch any fish... But, it was a nice day and we got there late. I basically wanted him to see the place we were going to camp on Friday and show him around the area. It would have been nicer to have caught a big one or two, but that will happen later on this week.

Then, in the afternoon, we went over to Tupper Grade in Hagerman for some trophy trout fishing. Oliver caught the biggest one, a rainbow, which was about 20" long and real feisty. I caught a little brown and golden trout, but both of mine put together wouldn't have made 1/2 of Oliver's catch.

That was also our anniversary, but since we had been eating so well, we decided to just order in a couple of pizzas and relax for the evening.

Yesterday, Oliver and I went to town and gathered up stuff for the upcoming camping trip on Friday. We also put tire sealer in the little Honda Mini-Trail's tires so hopefully we don't have tire troubles out in the bush. We also have these two way radios so if someone does get stopped when they are out and about, that they can phone home for a rescue, instead of having to push it back to camp.

We also got a little two person rubber boat to play with at DaHole, which should be fun. The weather is suppose to be about 94deg and the water temp is probably in the high 60ies, so it should feel refreshing.

Last night we took Oliver to the Twin Falls County Fair for the first time. It was crowded and they were out of Tater Pigs - a unique culinary delicacy of Da Fair. We then went to the Josh Turner concert and were pretty underwhelmed by both types of his music...

Today, we are going to pack for the trip and get my second back epidural shot to hopefully calm down some of this back pain I have been having for about a month now.

Then, if I am up for it, we are going back to the fair to see Oliver's first real Rodeo and hopefully a Tater Pig or two...

Friday morning we are going to finish packing and head down to DaHole to setup the camp. Pam is going to drive down to Bliss and we will meet her after work. We should be out of there sometime on Saturday, depending on how much fun everybody is having and how hot it is.
